The Stewards have been informed that the horse float, which was due to transport six horses trained by Mr D E Ferraris from Sha Tin to Happy Valley Racecourse for tonight’s racemeeting, experienced air-conditioning problems which resulted in the horses being returned to their Sha Tin stables.
A preliminary inspection of the six horses by Dr P Curl, Executive Manager, Veterinary Regulation, has cleared these horses to be transported to Happy Valley.
A further inspection of the six horses will be conducted at about 6 pm tonight to ascertain the horses’ suitability to race. A further release will be issued following these inspections.
