22 June 2016 Happy Valley Racemeeting

Further to the earlier press release issued in respect of horses trained by Mr D E Ferraris which are scheduled to compete at tonight’s Happy Valley racemeeting, all horses have again been inspected by Dr P Curl, Executive Manager, Veterinary Regulation.

Dr Curl has advised the Stewards that the horses only spent a short amount of time on the horse float which was experiencing air-conditioning problems and that the horse float did not in fact leave the vicinity of Sha Tin Racecourse.  He added that after being examined at Sha Tin Racecourse and being found to be in good condition, the horses had also travelled well to Happy Valley Racecourse and that each horse’s heart rate was within acceptable limits and no horse was displaying any sign of distress.  Accordingly, all horses have been found to be suitable to race.
