Scroll painting by renowned artist Lee Chi Ching
Horse racing has long been an important pastime for Hong Kong people and is one of the most distinctive features of Hong Kong culture. Renowned artist Lee Chi Ching has created a 13.5-foot long “Racing Season Opening” water colour scroll painting depicting scenes of fans and all walks of life enjoying a day out at the races.   The scroll painting will be displayed at 1/F Grandstand II, Sha Tin Racecourse on 3 September.  A full range of merchandise items adopting the image of the painting will be available for sale as well.
