Specialist at this distance (three wins from four starts) and resumed from spell with excellent nose 2nd to Takedown in the G2 Premiere Stakes (1200m) on 1 October. Has won 18 of 25 career starts.

Sound on pace win first-up in the G2 Bobbie Lewis Sprint (1200m) at Flemington on 10 September before 3.6 lengths 6th to The Quarterback in G2 Gilgai Stakes (1200m) at Flemington on 2 October. Back to 1000m shouldn't be an issue.

Wild Rain
Won WFA G3 Monash Stakes at 1100m this track in July before winning the WFA G2 McEwen Stakes (1000m) on 3 September. Last start, tackled the strongest sprint race run this season and was very good with 1.3 lengths 3rd to Extreme Choice (with Chautauqua 4th) in G1 Moir Stakes (1000m) on 30 September. Has great record this distance and race fit.

Hellbent
Zipped home in 33.2s (last 600m) when impressive 2.25 lengths winner from Sheidel (since won) in Caulfield 1100m handicap on 24 September. Up in class but looks capable of measuring up.

Resumes from spell and had the benefit of two good barrier trials. Has run well without winning at past two fresh runs. Capable sprinter but would need career best to win here.

Freshened since 2.7 lengths 4th to Sooboog and Dibayani in G3 Aurie's Star Handicap (1200m) at Flemington on 6 August. Placed and won at 1100m and 1200m at this track at past two fresh runs.

Strong finisher who beat the in-form Ocean Embers at 1050m in Adelaide on 30 July before 0.5 lengths second to Heatherly in Listed Carlyon Stakes (1000m) at Moonee Valley on 20 August. Placed in 7 October barrier trial.

Take Pride
Sound on pace effort when 2.9 lengths 4th to Super Cash in Caulfield 1100m BM 90 Mares Handicap on 24 September. Fitter for that run and some chance pending pressure for lead, despite the rise in class.

Godolphin horse having first start for new trainer. Not raced since July when 0.6 lengths 3rd to Plateau Gold in Grafton 1000m Handicap. Won one of six starts fresh.

Consistent performer who enjoyed run of race and battled on well when 3.5 lengths 3rd to Hellbent in Caulfield 1100m Handicap on 24 September but strikes race of much greater depth here.
