Capitalist
This year’s Golden Slipper Stakes winner in March and has been fair in two well spaced runs since. Resumed with 3.2 lengths 4th to Star Turn in G3 San Domenico Stakes (1100m) on 13 August when soft ground against. Then 1.5 lengths 3rd to Russian Revolution and Astern in G2 Roman Consul Stakes (1200m) on 1 October.

Extreme Choice
Blue Diamond Stakes winner back in February and resumed from spell with fast finishing win by 1.25 lengths in the G1 Moir Stakes (1000m) at Moonee Valley on 30 September. Beat older horses at WFA last time and looks to have come back in great form.

Astern
Impressive winner of the G1 The Golden Rose at 1400m before back in trip when head 2nd to Russian Revolution in the G2 Roman Consul Stakes (1200m) on 1 October. Won five from seven.

Flying Artie
Placed in the Blue Diamond Stakes and the Golden Slipper last season as a two-year-old. Resumed from break with 1.25 lengths win from Dalradian in G3 Blue Sapphire Stakes (1200m) at Caulfield on 12 October. Narrowly beaten one run down straight course.

Star Turn
Ran long head second, without much luck, behind Astern in the G2 Run To The Rose (1200m) on soft ground at Rosehill on 27 August. Then impressive in beating older horses in the G2 WFA Schillaci Stakes (1100m) on good ground at Caulfield on 8 October.

Russian Revolution
Narrow but sound winner by a head from Astern in the G2 Roman Consul Stakes (1200m) on 1 October. That was fourth win from as many starts.

Saracino
Straight course winner this distance of the G2 Danehill Stakes back in September before two sound but unplaced runs over further at Caulfield. Latest was 2.1 lengths 6th to Divine Prophet in G1 Caulfield Guineas (1600m) on 8 October. Horses who finished 7th and 8th in that race have since won albeit in longer races.

Ran long neck 2nd to Saracino in the G2 Danehill Stakes at this course and distance before racing keenly when stepped to 1400m at Caulfield on 24 September and finishing 3.45 lengths 9th behind Sacred Elixir. Bounced back with strong win in G3 1200m 3YO at Moonee Valley last Saturday.

Derryn
Made late ground when 1.75 lengths 3rd to Flying Artie in G3 Blue Sapphire Stakes (1200m) at Caulfield on 12 October. Did stretch the Caulfield Guineas winner Divine Prophet at 1300m on soft ground in August.

Manolo Blahniq
Closing sectionals were sound when 2.85 lengths 5th to Flying Artie in the G3 Blue Sapphire Stakes (1200m) at Caulfield on 12 October after failing on soft ground behind Astern and Star Turn in G2 Run To The Rose (1200m) on 27 August.
