Even effort at second run this season when 4.2 lengths 5th to Dixie Blossoms in G 3 Angst Stakes (1600m) at Randwick on 8 October. Then ran on very well when 1.1 lengths 6th to I Am A Star in G 1 Myer Classic (1600m) here last Saturday. Has won at trip.  Any give in the ground a plus.

Kaniana

Worked from barrier 16 when 3 lengths 6th to Euro Angel in G 3 Ladies Day Vase (1600m) at Caulfield on 12 October. Then finished too well to win G 3 Tesio Stakes (1600m) at Moonee Valley on 22 October by 0.75 lengths from Rocket Commander.

Rocket Commander

Enjoyed good run in transit but battled on well when 1.5 lengths 2nd to Euro Angel in G 3 Ladies Day Vase (1600m) at Caulfield on 12 October. Then sound 0.75 lengths 2nd to Kaniana in G 3 Tesio Stakes (1600m) at Moonee Valley on 22 October. Untried this distance.

Gabella

Found trouble in running when 4.1 lengths 7th to Smart As You Think in Moonee Valley 2040m Mares Handicap on 21 October. Bigger track suits and has good record at the distance.

Rising Romance

Slow to begin when 2.4 lengths 4th to Don’t Doubt Mamma in G 2 Stocks Stakes (1600m) at Moonee Valley on 30 September.  Hampered early and can forgive last week when eased down late to finish 15 lengths last of 15 to I Am A Star in G 1 Myer Classic (1600m) here last Saturday. Not won since February 2015 but five times G 1 placed in that time.

Jessy Belle

Backs up from Tuesday when fair 4.9 lengths 4th to Sort After in Flemington 1700 Mares Handicap. Does have big weight advantage on the winner of that race, under the conditions of this race.

Denmagic

Raced handy when 1.7 lengths 4th to First Seal in G 2 Tristarc Stakes (1400m) at Caulfield on 15 October.  Then ran very well when 0.5 lengths 3rd to I Am A Star in G 1 Myer Classic (1600m) here last Saturday. Untried at distance.

Manageress

Fair when 6.4 lengths 9th to Euro Angel in G 3 Ladies Day Vase (1600m) at Caulfield on 12 October when racing pattern arguably against. Then appreciated soft ground when 0.6 lengths 3rd to First Course in Listed Sale Cup (1600m) on 23 October. Some give in ground suits.

Lady Le Fay

Form strong for this after three runs from spell and has good record this distance. Ran on well when 1.25 lengths 2nd to Dixie Blossoms in G 3 Angst Stakes (1600m) at Randwick on 8 October. Then stayed on slower inside part of track when 2.1 lengths 6th to Kaniana in G 3 Tesio Stakes (1600m) at Moonee Valley on 22 October.

Tidy Prophet

On the quick back-up from Wednesday when finished 1.1 lengths 5th to Taiyoo in the Kyneton Cup (2000m) after being blocked for clear run in the straight.

Doing best work late when 2.9 lengths 5th to Euro Angel in G 3 Ladies Day Vase (1600m) at Caulfield on 12 October and again when 1.5 lengths 3rd to Kaniana in G 3 Tesio Stakes (1600m) at Moonee Valley on 22 October. Rise in distance suits.

Cinnamon Carter

Good closing effort to win Moonee Valley 2500m BM 78 by 1 length from Angel’s Touch on 28 October but back in trip and up in class.

Backs up from Tuesday when worked home fairly well to finish 4.75 lengths 3rd to Sort After in Flemington 1700 Mares Handicap. Placed one previous attempt at this distance.

Sort After

Backs up from Tuesday when all the way winner by 3 lengths from Metaphorical in Flemington 1700m Mares Handicap. This is tougher (and 300m further) but that Cup day race often good guide to this.

Happy Hannah

Ran on well when 2.1 lengths 3rd to More To Gain in Randwick 1600m BM 84 on 22 October. Fitter for recent runs and rise in distance is a plus.

Didn’t handle soft track conditions when 19 lengths last of 12 behind Smart As You Think in Moonee Valley 2040m Mares Handicap on 21 October. Could improve on drier track but up in class.
