Lim's Sincere
|
17 starts for three wins, all over the Poly 1000m. He last won in Class 4 six starts ago and his best performance in a slightly higher class was a third. Back in Class 4 last time out, he was installed the favourite but could only finish a 3.1-length fifth. He can make amends.

Lucky Giant

20 starts for four wins, all over 1200m on turf. He has had nine starts on the Poly without any placing. However, in his latest trial, he won on the Poly 1000m in a good time. He showed he is due for a win again when a half-length second two starts back.

Blue Diamond
|
48 starts for eight wins, all on the Polytrack and three over the 1000m. He beat only one home last start in a race won by his stablemate and ran close in two previous starts. He has been burning up the track during training and, on his day, he can beat a good field.

Honest Truth
|
58 starts for nine wins, all over the Polytrack and eight over the 1000m. He is already 10 years old and has no recent form, but he is working well for a new trainer who has a good record patching old horses. He worked well on Tuesday.

This four-year-old Australian-bred newcomer to Singapore is by Commands out of Christmas Joy. He had four starts in Australia for a win over 1400m (good) at Ballarat. He moved up from the rear and wide to hit the front shortly after straightening in his trial and won in a three-way finish.

35 starts for four wins, all on the Polytrack and once over 1000m. On his last-start 11th of 11 runners, you would avoid the grey like a plague. But he put up some creditable showings before that and, if he is left alone in front, he can be a different horse.

Imperial Boy
|
22 starts for two wins, both over the Poly 1000m. After two seconds in May-June, he finished seventh in July and was spelled. He ran last on resuming earlier this month and has since changed trainers. You can only take him on trust.

Five starts for three seconds, twice over the Poly 1000m. This little grey mare has ability but lost on all three occasions to a better horse. She has been rested since her third on 31 July and the rest could do her a world of good.

Louey Veloce

15 starts for a second and five thirds. He was spelled from 15 Nov last year to September when he resumed racing. The rest seemed to have benefited him. From three starts, he finished third in his last two. He has early pace and is worth considering a small each-way.

Best Jade

Nine starts for a win over Poly 1100m. That was his second start in early January. Something went awry after that as he has not even finished on board in his subsequent starts, the last on 30 Sept when he beat only two home.

Golden Mission
|
38 starts for two wins, over 1200m on Poly and turf. His last victory, however, was in August, 2014. He then strung up a long sequence of outs until two starts back in September when he popped up for a second over the Poly 1100m. He ran poorly again last start.

32 starts for three wins, over 1600m, 1700m and 1900m, all on the Poly. So, the 1000m is certainly not his cup of tea even though he has hit a bright patch under his new trainer and is a last-start winner.

Rikioh

26 starts for a win over the Poly 1200m, six seconds and three thirds. He showed he was close to winning again with a third and a second in June-July but veered off-course again. It's hard to recommend him on that basis.
