The Stewards have spoken to Dr Peter Curl, Executive Manager, Veterinary Regulation, regarding RAPPER DRAGON, trained by Mr John Moore, which finished tailed out in batch 2 of this morning’s Sha Tin barrier trials.
Dr Curl explained that a thorough veterinary examination of RAPPER DRAGON had been conducted immediately following the barrier trial which had shown no obvious abnormalities. RAPPER DRAGON was again re-examined by the Veterinary Officer this afternoon and Dr Curl has confirmed that this examination had again found the horse to have no obvious abnormalities.
The Stewards have also spoken to Mr Moore regarding this matter. Mr Moore confirmed that RAPPER DRAGON appeared to be in good order after this morning’s barrier trial and therefore he intends to continue with the horse’s current preparation.
RAPPER DRAGON, which is currently under an Official Veterinary Examination (OVE) restriction, will undergo its OVE following a gallop on Monday, 5 December 2016. A further release will be released at that time.
