The Stewards have received advice from Racing and Wagering Western Australia Stewards that at an adjourned inquiry on Friday, 9 December 2016, Club Jockey Douglas Whyte was found guilty of failing to ride his mount SCALES OF JUSTICE out to the end of the race in the Kingston Town Classic (Group 1) which was conducted at Ascot Racecourse, Perth on Saturday, 3 December 2016. For this offence, Jockey Whyte incurred a riding suspension which incorporates the period Sunday, 18 December 2016 until Tuesday, 17 January 2017 inclusive. Accordingly, Jockey Whyte will be eligible to resume race riding at the Sha Tin racemeeting scheduled to be conducted on Wednesday, 18 January 2017.
