1200m – Dirt

Beck

Winless since winning two consecutive races last November. Has improved his condition since he came back from summer vacation and placed third in an upper-class stakes race (1400m, dirt) on 4 December latest. Settles behind speed or midfield.

Costa Alegre

His last win was a middle-class stakes race (1200m, dirt) in January and has had a lean season since. This will be his first race since June.  Leads or sits handy.

Dream Dolce

Grabbed his fourth win in a middle-class stakes race (1200m, dirt) in July and placed fourth in an upper-class stakes race (1200m, dirt) on 20 November latest.  Races midfield or deeper. 

Eagle Kazan

Winless since December 2014, came off an eighth-place in the Aqualine Stakes over course and distance on 10 December latest.  Hold-up runner.  

Gandhi

Claimed an allowance race on his seasonal debut in January and comes in off a second-place in the Aqualine Stakes over course and distance on 10 December latest. Hold-up runner.  

Gassan Pray

Gained his fourth win in an allowance race over course and distance in April this season but has not come back to that form since.  Finished fifth in an upper-class stakes race (1400m, dirt) in September before finishing 11th in the Fujinomori Stakes (1200m, dirt) on 16 October latest.  Hold-up runner. 

Gemeinschaft

Placed three times in last five starts.  He came off a seventh-place in the upper-class stakes race (1200m, dirt) on 23 October latest.  Races from midfield or close to lead.  

Hikari Masamune

Won an allowance race over course and distance in September, finished fourth in an upper-class stakes race (1200m, dirt) in October and comes in off a fourth-place in the Aqualine Stakes (1200m, dirt) on 10 December latest.  Runs midfield or closer to lead.

Key Player

The five-year-old mare took her fourth win in the middle-class stakes race over course and distance in September before ninth in the Aqualine Stakes (1200m, dirt) on 10 December. On-pace or sits handy. 

Nitto Subaru

2nd in the Listed Keiyo Stakes over course and distance at his seasonal debut in April, and came off a sixth-place in an upper-class stakes race (1400m, dirt) on 29 October latest. Hold-up runner. 

R Process

Four wins in 21 career starts. Finished fifth in upper-class stakes races (1400m) twice in October.  Races close to the lead or deeper.  Untried over 1200m.

Red Guernica

Trainer Kazuo Fujisawa shifted him to sprint distances in September, he has had two wins and one second in three starts.  Sits handy or races behind leads. 

River Soul

The five-year-old grabbed his fourth win in a middle-class stakes race (1200m, dirt) in August. He has yet to win an upper-class stakes race in recent three starts with a tenth-place on 20 November latest.  Settles midfield or better.

Take Fire

His last win was a middle-class stakes race (1200m, dirt) in June last year.  In 2016, he has experienced a lean season.  He placed 13th in an upper-class stakes race (1200m, dirt) last start. Sits handy or close to lead.

Vernon

Consistent dirt sprinter and has handled from fast to muddy.  He took his fourth win in a middle-class stakes race (1000m, dirt) in July and came off a sixth-place in the Aqualine Stakes over course and distance on 10 December latest.  Leads or sits handy.   

Yoshio

His last win was an allowance race (1300m, dirt) in October but finished ninth in an upper-class stakes race (1400m, dirt) in November and 5th in an upper-class stakes race (1400m, dirt) on 4 December latest.
