Only third start of year but has done well since end of October of last year at the distance on dirt after changing strategy to race from forward position. Caught 200m out last start to finish second in Niigata 1800m. Ran fourth in Nakayama 1800m in January. First race since May.

First start since end of July. Last two starts not promising even after drop in class. Not promising.

Continuing in this class after three double-digit finishes in early part of year at class higher. Had second in Nakayama 1800m in September at this level. Second last out in Chukyo 1900m on 11 Dec. Tends to run from rear position, but lack of kick hurts. Would likely do better on flat track.

Cosmo Natural

First race on JRA track since last December and 13th-place finish in Nakayama 1800m. Has done well in six starts since, all at municipal-run tracks, all run to the left. May be outclassed.

Daifuku

First time on dirt. Switched to dirt after last two starts at this class returned double-digit finishes. Dam raced on local tracks, with fair success over 1700 metres on dirt.

Dangan Kozo
|
Has made board in only one race in last 13 starts, but was raced predominately over 1200-1400 metres. Ran 12th in Nakayama 1800m in April. Not promising.

Dominador

Three-year-old gelding with only four starts, all at 1600-1800 metres on dirt, all but debut win with double-digit finishes. Racing for first time since end of July.

Ggantija

Only 1 win in 33 career starts, all at this class. Ran third in Nakayama 1800m in April and two of four starts since (two over left-handed tracks) have resulted in best seventh-place finishes. Not promising.

Karada Roman

Won debut in Nakayama 1800m but moved to Tokyo for next three starts and poor results. Ditto at Funabashi, also a left-handed track. Return to right-handed Nakayama could be a plus.

Kazuno Teio
|
Only sixth start of career. Broke maiden after moving to 1800m from mile. Unraced since April and third in Nakayama 1800m. Tends to be slow out of gate and rear position leaves finish lacking. Makes good effort in stretch but needs to run from more forward position.

Has been given variety of distances on both turf and dirt, with last four starts over dirt at 2100-2400 metres. Last out on 13 Nov ran fourth in Tokyo 2100m despite interference in stretch. Made good effort in stretch moving wide. Finished seventh in race before over 2400 metres at Nakayama. Missed break in last two starts, over heavier ground two starts back. Would do better with smooth trip, fast track.

Returning to JRA circuit after nine starts at local right-handed track Monbetsu resulted in six wins and one second, including three wins over 1700 metres. Four races at beginning of career with JRA included only one over 1800m on dirt at left-handed Chukyo with 13th-place finish. Competition, track likely to prove challenging.

Only 4 wins in 30 starts. Given mixed bag of surfaces and distances, but did finish third in Nakayama 1800m in March. Return to Nakayama may help but not promising.

Nishino Falcon

Second start since breaking maiden on ninth start of career, but had come close with three seconds and two thirds before finally winning. Has two thirds in Nakayama 1800m maiden races. Last out on 16 Oct ran ninth in Tokyo mile over dirt after 3-month layoff, but failed to gain traction at start, as race is actually run on turf for first 150 metres. Cheek pieces effective last out. Should show improvement. Has good late speed. Move to Nakayama a plus.

Pyrokinesist

Raced primarily over distances of 1600-1800 metres on dirt, with two wins and two seconds from 1700-1800m. Has made board in last three races, including win in Nakayama 1800m at this class in April. Made good effort last out to finish fifth in mile. First race since May but drop in class, extra distance and return to Nakayama all pluses.

Tanigawa
|
Finished second in last race on 11 Dec in Chukyo 1800m at this class. Only win of 15-start career came in Nakayama 1200m. Has made board in last five starts since changing to more forward position racing style. Best results tend to come on left-handed tracks.
