JUMP is the Hong Kong Jockey Club’s latest lifestyle-based race track venue. Aimed at the next generation race-goer, the innovative cafe is launched at Sha Tin Racecourse today, Sunday, 8 January.
Mr. Richard Cheung, the Club’s Executive Director, Customer and Marketing, said at the opening ceremony: “JUMP is the latest development in the Racecourse Master Plan and its launch continues the Jockey Club’s ongoing commitment to creating innovative new venues that meet the requirements of its various consumer segments.”

In recent years, the Club has emerged as a world leader in successfully revitalising horseracing engagement by creating dedicated venues for racing fans, notably the new generation fans. We have already witnessed the popularity of Hay Market and the Digital Zone at Sha Tin, and The Gallery at Happy Valley. JUMP is our newest creation for the next generation.”
Located on the second floor of Grandstand II at Sha Tin, JUMP has a 250 seating capacity and will offer Western-Asian-style light meals served in a casual setting. The lifestyle cafe has a focus on technology and racing information for younger, leisure-based customers.
The venue features Racing Touch tables and virtual reality simulators to create an exciting gaming experience, together with giant HDTV screens and a complimentary iPad rental service. With various interactive facilities – including energetic Hong Kong horse racing animation, digital gear riding game to Gear VR 360° virtual horse stable tours, customers can enjoy a range of technology racing experience at JUMP. Customers can also participate in Racing 101 hosted by Racing Specialist with sharing of racing knowledge.
