The Hong Kong Jockey Club will simulcast for betting six races from Flemington Racecourse in Australia on Saturday, 11 March (1st race 11:05am).
The day features several important races with main focus on Victoria’s autumn showpiece, the A$1,500,000 Australian Cup (G1 2000m) and the Newmarket Handicap (G1 1200m), a race with over 140 years of history and often billed as the Melbourne Cup for sprinters.
The six races on the card are:
Kewney Stakes (G2 1400m for 3yo fillies)
VRC Sires’ Produce Stakes (G2 1400m for 2yo)
Moomba Plate (Listed 1100m handicap for 3yo)
Newmarket Handicap (G1 1200m handicap)
Australian Cup (G1 2000m)
Matron Stakes (G3 1600m for 3yo+ fillies and mares)
Final declarations with barriers for the Australian Cup Day races will be available on the morning of Friday, 10 March.
