18/04/2017

Race 2 – GOLDEN GLORY

GOLDEN GLORY, which performed poorly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time the horse had sustained a small cut to the outside of the left hind pastern.  GOLDEN GLORY was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer T P Yung this morning.  He said at this time he noted the horse to have sustained a wound to the left hind pastern with associated swelling and lameness.  As previously advised, GOLDEN GLORY will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination before being allowed to race again.

Race 3 – COOL AND NEAT

The Clinical Veterinary Surgeon reported that COOL AND NEAT was lame in its right hind leg on the morning after racing.  Before being allowed to race again, COOL AND NEAT will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

The Veterinary Officer reported that examinations conducted this morning of all other horses inspected during yesterday’s racemeeting were shown to have no significant findings.
