The false outside rail will not be in place for the Champions Mile Day’s meeting at Sha Tin Racecourse. The Club instituted the false rail, four metres from the outside fence, at the commencement of last season during meetings where 1000m races were conducted and the inside rail position was set at A, A+3, B or B+2.
To follow last season’s practice to leave the course as wide as possible with two Group 1 events programmed on 7 May, the false outside rail will not be used although there will be one race over 1000m for Class 2 horses on that day.
