The Stewards have today received a medical certificate advising that Freelance Jockey T H So is unfit to fulfil his race riding engagements for tonight’s Happy Valley race meeting due to an injury to his right knee. Accordingly, the Stewards have approved the following substitutions:-
Race 1 THE GREATEST C Schofield
Race 2 OCTAL LUCK H W Lai
Race 3 WHISTLE UP H W Lai
Race 5 KWAICHUNG BROTHERS H W Lai
Jockey So has advised Stewards that he is scheduled to have a further medical assessment and MRI scans of his injury tomorrow. Jockey So has also informed the Stewards he will forego his race riding engagements at the Sha Tin meeting scheduled for Saturday, 13 May 2017 and will not accept any further race riding engagements until his injury has been fully assessed.
In order to assist connections in their choice of jockey for the Sha Tin race meeting to be conducted on Saturday, 13 May 2017, the Club has arranged for Jockey Nooresh Juglall to be available to accept race riding engagements at the stated race meeting. Jockey Juglall has advised that his minimum riding weight is 113 lbs.
