Permission has been granted for Club Jockeys Joao Moreira and Zac Purton to be absent from Hong Kong in order to ride CONTENTMENT (John Size) and BEAUTY ONLY (A S Cruz) respectively in the Yasuda Kinen (Group 1) to be conducted at Tokyo Racecourse, Japan on Sunday, 4 June 2017. As such, both riders will not be available to accept race riding engagements at the Sha Tin race meeting on that day.
In order to assist connections in their choice of rider for the Sha Tin race meeting to be conducted on Sunday, 4 June, the Club has arranged for Jockey Craig Williams to be available to accept race riding engagements at the stated race meeting.
It was previously notified that newly licensed Club Jockey Callan Murray would not be available to accept race riding engagements at the Sha Tin race meeting on 4 June due to a pre-existing riding commitment in South Africa. Jockey Murray has informed the Club that as the horse he had been committed to ride had gone amiss, he will now remain in Hong Kong and be available to accept race riding engagements at the aforementioned meeting.
