Photo Release - Le French May Trophy and the France Galop Cup

 

The 11th French Day is being held at Happy Valley Racecourse tonight (15 May), when two trophy races, the Le French May Trophy and the France Galop Cup, were staged.  In reciprocity, the Hong Kong Jockey Club will name two of the races at the meeting to be held at Deauville Racecourse in France on 15 August, 2019.

Hong Kong Bet (No. 6), trained by Tony Cruz and ridden by Karis Teetan, takes the Le French May Trophy (Photos 1, 2, 3).  Mr Alexandre Giorgini, Consul General of France in Hong Kong and Macau, presents the trophy to the winning owners Wilson Ho, The Hon Junius Ho Kwan Yiu & Bruce Lee Sing Keung (Photo 4), Dr Andrew S Yuen, Chairman of Le French May presents a souvenir to the winning trainer Tony Cruz (Photo 5); Le French May Chief Executive Officer Julien-Loic Garin presents a souvenir to the winning jockey Karis Teetan (Photo 6).

 

Photos 7 - 12

Racing Fighter (No. 1), trained by Dennis Yip and ridden by Zac Purton, wins the France Galop Cup (Photos 7, 8, 9). Mr Jean-Pierre Colombu, Vice-President of France Galop presents the trophy to the winning owner CAAF Syndicate (Photo 10).  In addition, the winning trainer Dennis Yip (Photo 11) and the winning jockey Zac Purton (Photo 12) each receive a souvenir.
