Jockeys Ruan Maia & Jye McNeil

 

The Club¡¦s Chief Medical Officer has informed the Stewards that Jockeys Ruan Maia and Jye McNeil have tested positive to COVID-19 following both Jockeys undertaking the Club¡¦s mandated polymerase chain reaction (¡§PCR¡¨) test this morning.  Accordingly, both Jockeys Maia and McNeil have been stood down from riding with the Stewards approving the following riding substitutions for the Happy Valley racemeeting to be conducted on Wednesday, 30 November 2022:-

Race 4:            SMART COUSIN ¡V A Hamelin

Race 7:            NAVAS TWO ¡V K C Leung

 

Jockey Jye McNeil

 

Race 2:            ISLAND SHINE ¡V M Chadwick

Race 3:            FLYING MIGHTY ¡V H T Mo

Race 4:            FORTUNE TRIPLE ¡V H Bentley

Race 5:            LORIZ ¡V A Hamelin

Race 8:            PRIME MINISTER ¡V Z Purton

 

Jockeys Maia and McNeil will also not ride at the Sha Tin racemeeting scheduled to be conducted on Sunday, 4 December 2022.  A further release will be issued at the appropriate time in respect of their eligibility to resume riding in track work and in races.
