Hong Kong Jockey Club takes one at Tattersalls December Yearling Sale

 

The Hong Kong Jockey Club purchased one striking colt at the recent Tattersalls December Yearling Sale in Newmarket, Great Britain for a total outlay of 100,000 guineas (approx. HK$955,000).

 

Invincible Spirit is a reliable source of winners in Hong Kong and the Club was pleased to walk away with Lot 112 ¡V a bay son of the Irish-bred sire. Boasting over 50 wins in Hong Kong, Invincible Spirit¡¦s best known progeny in the city includes the six-time winning Citron Spirit and five-time winning Windicator Returns, Secret Of Winning and Business As Usual as well as Invincible Dragon ¡V a four-time winner ¡V who twice struck at Class 1 level over 1400m at Sha Tin.

 

Invincible Spirit is best known overseas as the sire of Kingman, Lawman, Moonlight Cloud, Charm Spirit, Shalaa, Magna Grecia and Nazeef. The colt¡¦s mare ¡V Aspirer ¡V is by none other than the exceptional Frankel.
