4 3 DARCI JOY (E161) Shortly after the start was crowded and then from a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
5 10 SPECIAL HEDGE (H354) Raced keenly in the middle stages. For a short distance near the 50 Metres raced tight between ESCAPE ROUTE and DARCI JOY.
6 11 INVINCIBLE MISSILE (C037) Apprentice E C W Wong was fined the sum of $2,000 for failing to present himself in the Parade Ring by the required time. Slow to begin.
7 7 SHARPEN BRIGHT (H276) Sent for sampling post-race.
8 12 GOLD TACK (H106) Leaving the 1900 Metres was awkwardly placed close to LEGION OF MERIT when positioned tight to the inside of SPECIAL HEDGE.
9 6 REACH GOAL (G067) Jumped only fairly. After the race, Z Purton reported that whilst his mount did not appreciate the "Yielding” track conditions, it had coughed after the race. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. Before being allowed to race again, REACH GOAL will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
10 5 JUMBO FORTUNE (G195) After the 300 Metres raced tight to the inside of GOLD TACK which shifted in. Again near the 100 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running when racing tight between GOLD TACK and REACH GOAL, both of which shifted ground slightly.
11 13 SUNNY BABY (E166) Jumped awkwardly, became unbalanced when bumped by CHATEAU LE PECHE which shifted in and then from a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
12 4 MISTER DAPPER (H376) Jumped awkwardly. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
13 9 CHATEAU LE PECHE (H471) Shifted in at the start, was bumped and became unbalanced. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
14 8 WINNING STEPS (G420) Bumped at the start. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
