7 12 VAMOS (G004) From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
8 11 H Z TOURBILLON (E149) Knuckled over on jumping and lost ground. In the early part of the Home Straight lay in when reluctant to shift to the outside of DOUBLE SHOW. Then continued to lay in and had some difficulty obtaining clear running approaching the 200 Metres when positioned behind ALLOY KING. After the race, B Thompson reported that after obtaining clear running approaching the 200 Metres his mount finished the race off only fairly. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. Before being allowed to race again, H Z TOURBILLON will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
9 4 WOODFIRE CHAMP (H292) Jumped only fairly. Shortly after the start was crowded for room. Leaving the 900 Metres commenced to over-race and for some distance thereafter got its head up when being steadied to avoid the heels of FIRE BALL.
10 3 THE CONCENTRATION (H465) Shortly after the start was steadied when crowded between ALLOY KING (H Bentley) which shifted in slightly and WOODFIRE CHAMP which was taken out by FIRE BALL which in turn was taken out slightly by HERO STAR (Y L Chung). Both H Bentley and Y L Chung were advised to exercise more care. From the 700 Metres raced very wide and without cover.
11 7 FIRE BALL (D087) No report.
2 YOUTH POWER (H358) Was a late withdrawal acting on veterinary advice after sustaining a wound to the right hind leg and being found to be lame in the right front leg after becoming fractious whilst being transported to the racecourse. Before being allowed to race again, YOUTH POWER will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
