Spin Golden Wheel at New
Year Race Meeting for Luck
Racegoers
will be able to spin a " Golden Wheel of Fortune", the most
expensive one ever in Hong Kong at Sha Tin Racecourse January 24 and
wish for good luck in the Year of the Monkey. Everyone will receive
a "Fortune Horse" on entering Sha Tin or Happy Valley (for
cross betting) racecourses while stocks last. Those attending the
meeting at Sha Tin Racecourse will have a chance to win a voucher
that can be exchanged for $100,000 in gold products.
The 1.5-metre tall "Golden Wheel of Fortune",
valued at HK$7.3 million, is made with 37.8kg of 24-carat gold and
set with precious stones. It will be the most expensive 24-carat gold
"Wheel
of Fortune" ever in Hong Kong. The wheel, which had a blessing
ceremony last Saturday at Po Lin Monastery on Lantau Island, will
be on display at the Concourse.
Racegoers will be given a game ticket on entering
Sha Tin Racecourse. Those who correctly mark one horse in the first
three placings in two races, the Centenary Vase and Chinese New Year
Cup, will have a chance of winning a HK$100,000 3D-GOLD gold voucher
or a 18-carat white gold diamond Wheel of Fortune pendant valued at
HK$2,800. Ten special winners will each get a "3D-GOLD Year of
the Monkey" 999.9 gold calendar card. For details,
please check the game ticket.
To celebrate the Year of the Monkey, models dressed
as the Gods of Fortune and lucky horse mascots will walk around the
racecourse and hand out complimentary "Fai Chun". Racing
fans will also find great photo opportunities at the huge "Yuen
Bao" or "Wheel of Fortune" symbolising wealth and good
fortune, at the Public Enclosure and a display of horse statues at
the Concourse.
The
"King of Horse" will sit in the "Easy Form" workshop
introducing how to use the "Easy Form" and analyzing the
races for the viewers.
Sa Sa Cosmetics and Broadway's booths will be set
up in the Concourse to sell the goods at a discounted price for racegoers.
The Chinese New Year merchandise will also available in the Hong Kong
Jockey Club sales booth there as well.
Sha
Tin Racecourse is the luckiest place to be on the third day of the
Chinese New Year. Join the fun and festivities in on-course activities
for good luck.
