The Hong Kong Jockey Club and Asia Television Limited (ATV) will offer plenty of horse racing programmes on its Home and World Channels in the coming racing season. A variety of racing information will be provided in the exciting series of programmes.

"Horse Racing Trackwork"

Take a Saturday race meeting as an example, on Home Channel, "Horse Racing Trackwork", analysing the horse forms and performances in the morning trackwork and barrier trials, will be broadcast at twelve midnight Thursday after the declarations of the race meeting earlier that day. "Horse Racing Preview" will be shown at twelve midnight Friday, just before the race meeting to provide professional analysis on the horses running. Data and graphical analyses will also be provided so that the racing fans can have more in-depth knowledge about the runners. The race meeting will be broadcast live on "Trackside" with running commentary and on-spot analyses. After that, comments and reports on the race meeting will be shown in "Horse Racing Results" later that night. For a Sunday race meeting, there will be a special racing programme on Thursday. "Horse Racing Trackwork" will be shown at twelve midnight Friday and "Horse Racing Preview" at twelve midnight Saturday. The race meeting will then be broadcast live on "Trackside" on Sunday, to be followed by "Horse Racing Results" later that night.

The Jockey Club has, for the first time, contracted out the production of "Horse Racing Preview" and "Horse Racing Results" to another company, Content Management Consultancy.

Meanwhile, the English programmes of "Racing to Win" and "Trials from the Grass" will continue to provide useful analysis and reports on the ATV World Channel for the English speaking racing fans.
